New books incl: Secrets. Sparks. Bonded Mates.

Hello Reader,

I am so susceptible to a good tag line and this week we have a number of really fun tag lines on the new releases. I was uploading them and going - oooh I should add that to my reading list and ahh that looks so good.

Tag lines are essentially the elevator pitch of a book. That one line of text that describes the reading experience you are getting.

So I will pose a simple question this week - what kind of tag line immediately gets you excited?

It’s all about books but not just new releases, this week we have new reviews too and one of them got a favourite badge.

Have a beautiful Sunday,

Sheena

The great thing about reviews is that we read books and share ones we like, upping the chances of you finding only the best books out there.

Dr. Margaret Morgan by Christy Hadfield is an age-gap, grumpy/sunshine romance in a university setting. Our main characters must decide if cold and casual is going to win out over warm and intense.

From our review: “Through the book, Tess and Margaret’s relationship matures as Tess completes each year of university, and the writing emulates that.”

Join Our Review Team!

We’re looking for a passionate reader (or a few) to join TLR as a reviewer. If you love books (and audiobooks), can commit to writing a review every week or so, and enjoy being part of a friendly, book-loving team — we’d love to hear from you.

Extra Info:

  • This is a volunteer position.
  • Previous writing experience is a bonus, but not required. What I am looking for mostly is the ability to put words to your thoughts and to order it in a way that makes sense. Without the use of AI.
  • You’ll get access to plenty of free books and audiobooks to review.
  • You will also get a chance to share great books with fellow readers and shape the way we discuss sapphic fiction.
  • There is a trial period with some mentorship that involves editing and the back and forth of reviews.

Interested? Get in touch and tell me a bit about your reading tastes.
